June 7, 1998, Philadelphia - Participants of Sensei Jishu Holmes last study group (studies of the 16 Observances of the Zen Peacemaker Order, Peacemaking, Council and becoming a Buddhist) enter Zen Peacemaker Order as Buddhists with Jishu-Bernie Angyo as Preceptor. Angyo (Japanese for Peacemaker) is the family name for all Zen Peacemakers.

- Raull Ensho Berge enters the Order as a novice Zen Peacemaker Priests with Sensei Wendy Egyoku Nakao as Preceptor. This installation took place at the Zen Center of Los Angeles.

Jan. 1, 1998 - The first Annual Retreat of the Zen Peacemaker Order takes place in Wisdom House in Litchfield CN. The following priests and teachers in Roshi Bernie's lineage enter the Order as general members.
