Mother House: Overview: Spiritual Directors ![]() At the Zen Peacemaker Board Meeting held at the Mother House in Montague, Ma on May 3, 2005, Roshi Pat Enkyo O'Hara was chosen by Roshi Bernie Glassman as Co-Spiritual Director of the Zen Peacemaker Order and Sangha. This appointment was unanimously ratified by the ZP Board. Bernie expressed his delight in this ratification and his joy in having the ZPO stated value of partnership being realized in the Spiritual Director role. On May 4, Enkyo and Bernie were acknowledged in a ritual developed by leaders of the Zen Peacemaker Order and Sangha as Co-Directors. Bernie and Enkyo decided to form a group of Spiritual Directors in Training to help provide continuity in succession of the Co-Spiritual Directors of the ZPF and to provide more voices in the decisions to be made by them. On May 18, 2005, Roshis Enkyo and Bernie chose Roshis Joan Halifax, Robert Kennedy, s.j. and Gerry Shishin Wick to be Spiritual Directors in Training. To read more about Joan please link to her bio.
